The can opener and the Swiss Army knife

I got very upset yesterday while making a Spanish pie. I was a little in a hurry and suddenly... where was the can opener? After spending some time with the most obvious drawers and trying to imagine where Ms. Angelina’s ingenuous sense of kitchen management could had put it, I remembered of my Swiss Army knife.

Using it carefully to avoid the tuna oil from smearing the other blades, I succeeded. Its can opener blade opened the cover as if it was cutting fresh butter. Really wonderful. As a good handyman and troubleshooter, I see this tool as a very useful, must-have tool for me. Despite of being a multifunctional tool it usually performs each of these functions as good as or better than the tools specifically designed for them. A great value for your money.

People usually are classified in generalist or specialist - the choice between knowing a little bit of everything or being good in one specific area. Now my Swiss Army knife shows that you can be multifunctional – performing with excellence in whatever situation you’re in. A goal to achieve.
